If you're going for the dragon as the father, it's real name is Malchior(it swapped names while trapped in the book as a trick). Rorek(the mage) is implied to have died(possibly as a result of casting the spell or battle wounds, or both), but I always thought it would be interesting if he were still somehow alive and trapped in the book as well.
If you're going for the true Rorek(mage) as the father, may Alba would work with her symbol being an Owl like Tyto alba(aka Barn Owl; owls also being associated with magic and even guardians of souls)with Owlet being a nickname used by her parents and just Owl as a code name by others.
If it's the dragon Malchior as the father, then I might recommend Myna(alt spelling Mynah; members of the Starling bird family), or Magpie(maggie for short; reference to dragon "greed" since magpies like shiny things). They also both start with M.
